Aims of the Workshop

The aim of the workshop is to create an opportunity in which to gather
experts on the explosion physics of core-collapse supernovae (CCSNe)
and to then have stimulating discussions with world-leading astronomers
who are ready to detect supernova multimessengers including
multi-wavelength electromagnetic waves, neutrinos, and gravitational waves.
Such an exciting encounter is intended to strengthen further collaboration
between the CCSN theory and the CCSN multi-messenger observation
communities. We hope that this workshop gives strong momentum towards
solving the time-honored puzzles about the central engine(s) of explosive
stellar phenomena leaving behind various types of compact objects
(such as neutron stars, magnetars, and black holes).
This workshop includes the "area workshop" hosted by the research groups
C01 and C02 of Kakenhi on Innovative Areas, GW Genesis.
