Research Funding

• The operation and maintenance of the Institute is largely financed by collaborative research funds from external
  organizations (companies). Therefore, we ask external organizations (companies) to cover research costs in the form
  of collaborative research agreements.
  
• Amount of the collaborative research fund is determined in agreement with external organizations (companies),
  taking into account the following 1. to 4 items. Please note that the time spent on consultations and meetings prior
  to signing the contract will be included in the labor hours.
  

  1. Basic technical fee:1 million JPY(including tax) /year+ Labor hours x unit cost
  aaaaaaaand / or
  2.New Design/Process Design:2 to 10 million JPY(including tax) /year
  

  aaaaaaaand / or
  3.License fee(fee for using existing software IP) :1 million JPY(including tax) per design/year
  aaaaaaaand / or
  4.consulting services:Please inquire

• 1.Basic technical fee inclues basic follow-up and technical consultation for the items2 and 3.
• The university will collect 20% of the collaborative research grant amount from the above collaborative research fund
  as indirect expenses (general administrative costs).
• We are also accepting donations (research grant donations) from external organizations (companies,
  government agencies, etc.) for the purpose of promoting and supporting academic research.
